FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GEORGE TOWN, EXUMA, BAHAMAS (June, 2011) –Chat ‘N’ Chill®, Ltd., a Bahamian restaurant and beach bar and special event venue located in The Exuma Islands, was the location of choice for the wedding cover scene of Martha Stewart Weddings ® Destination & Dream Honeymoons Fall 2010,a special travel issue.  Wedding trendsetter and do-it-yourself entertaining queen, Martha Stewart, found refreshing backdrops at Chat ‘N’ Chill® for today’s brides and grooms seeking unique locations to host their destination wedding.

“Brides and grooms come to us looking to escape the typical big-box wedding experience,” says Kwanza Clay Bowe, owner of Chat ‘N’ Chill® and founder of A Wedding Breeze, Exuma’s premiere destination wedding and event planning company. “Our high achieving bride and groom clients are ‘always on’ and connected with their successful careers and businesses, professionally. Here, they relish in the rustic, laid back surroundings where they can enjoy an intimate ceremony and simply relax with their guests, totally uninterrupted.” In today’s glossy wedding market, where everything often looks the same, some engaged couples are seeking out settings that are not just like the last 5 weddings they recently attended. And no doubt, Martha Stewart is on top of the latest trend and has discovered a hidden jewel amongst The Exuma Islands in the beautiful Islands of The Bahamas.

“This is really great for The Exuma Islands as it will certainly provide substantial exposure not only for Chat ‘N’ Chill® and Exuma but for all of The Bahamas.  This kind of publicity will also assist in developing other niche markets like boating and eco tourism,”says Bahamas Ministry of Tourism’s Charity Armbrister, Director of Central & Southern Bahamas.

The directional sign-post is the central element of the Martha Stewart destination wedding cover and is the most photographed spot on Chat ‘N’ Chill®’s beach with the picturesque sailboats and yachts in the background. While the sign post has been the ceremonial center for numerous weddings, the location for various catalogs, magazines and even a movie, this is the first time that the legendary beach bar has been featured for a magazine cover. “It is an honor and a privilege that of all the thousands of beaches and 365 islands that comprise of The Exuma Islands, that Martha Stewart chose Chat ‘N’ Chill® as the spot for their destination wedding magazine cover photo shoot,” says Clay Bowe.

Sandals Emerald Bay featured in Golf Channel’s Big Break Show

Just wanted to let you know to check out Golf Channel’s Big Break Sandals show. The reality TV show airs on Mondays at 9:00 PM.  Now there was a visit to Chat ‘N’ Chill.  But we have not heard anything official from them about if we made the final cut.   You know how these filming and video projects go, you will just have to tune in to see if your fave Exuma spot, Chat ‘N’ Chill, made the final cut or not. We certainly hope so!

The production crew along with two of the golf pros actually came to feed the stingrays, but the weather was not favorable (a little wind and a little rain) and our little friends were hiding.  So they actually sought shelter inside and did a little footage at the bar.  Don’t worry, we didn’t get them smashed!  We will post some pics later, but we don’t want to mess up any story lines for the show since we were successful at keeping it a secret this long.  In fact I almost forgot about it until my golf-loving Dad mentioned that he saw Great Exuma’s Sandals Emerald Bay on the Golf Channel the other day!

The episode I saw had a surprise visit from the shark himself, Greg Norman, who designed the exquisite Emerald Bay course.  It seemed like a pretty cool show.  I am counting on all you golf lovers to check it out.  So tune in and leave a comment to let us know if you see Chat ‘N’ Chill on the Golf Channel!

Congratulations Matt and Amy Allen!

Filmed from Chat ‘N’ Chill Beach on Stocking Island, Bahamas, newlyweds Matt & Amy Allen filmed this video of the dolphins in Elizabeth Harbour during their recent honeymoon stay at Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Resort & Spa.  Matt’s brother and sister-in-law, sent them on a surprise full day adventure to Chat ‘N’ Chill as a wedding gift.  Mark & Anne originally visited us back when the Four Seasons Resort was open.

Mark called me up and said that Chat ‘N’ Chill was the highlight during their visit to Exuma and he wanted to share the experience with his brother and new sister-in-law.  We arranged a custom, full-day adventure, including round-trip transportation from Sandals to George Town, round-trip water taxi transfers across Elizabeth Harbour to Stocking Island, conch salad, food, tropical drinks, T-shirts, souvenirs and more.

Thank you Mark & Anne for sharing Chat ‘N’ Chill!

Thank you Matt & Amy for sharing your dolphin video from your day at Chat ‘N’ Chill with all of our guests!
