Chat ‘N’ Chill® Gives Back

Giving Back

The Exumas aren’t just our home. They are our soul, our history, and our future. That’s why we continuously support local organizations that work to protect these exquisite islands. By working for the greater good of our wildlife, reefs, land, water and youth, these incredible organizations help protect the Exumas for all that love them.

The Exuma Sailing Club

In addition to being the gathering spot of the local boating community and the headquarters of the annual George Town Cruising Regatta, Chat ‘N’ Chill® is also an enthusiastic supporter of the Exuma Sailing Club.

The Exuma Sailing Club keeps the tradition of racing wooden Bahamian Sloops alive for the youth and future generations of Exuma. Since 2013, The Exuma Sailing Club has helped teach young men and women focus and discipline through sailing. Sailing traditional Bahamian sloops is complex and requires strength, stamina, and mental awareness – skills critical in life as in the water.

Chat ‘N’ Chill® has sponsored transportation for crew and sloops to different islands, provided meals for practice and Saturday Sailing School, and now we are fundraising to help the club buy a brand new sloop hand made by one of the island’s legendary boat builders.

To help us support our latest fundraising effort – and endow the children of Stocking Island with a sloop that will serve them for decades to come – visit Friends of Exuma and designate your donation to The Exuma Sailing Club. The Exuma Sailing Club is a U.S. 501(c)3, so your donation is tax deductible!

OR purchase one (or 20!) of our cool fundraising shirts with proceeds going directly to building the boat here!

Skullers Rowing Club

The first and (only) rowing club on the island of Exuma.  The mission of the Skullers Rowing Club is to open new opportunities for the youth of Exuma through a new (to the Bahamas) and dynamic sport. Through doing this they also learn how to work in a competitive team environment, how to solve problems as a collective and as individuals, while becoming fitter, healthier versions of themselves.

The Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership

The Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership guides ecologically sustainable development of Elizabeth Harbour to enhance tourism, fisheries and recreational use for the benefit of generations present and future.

Chat ‘N’ Chill® is a passionate supporter of the Elizabeth Harbour Conservation Partnership, recently donating $2,500 toward the construction of an “outdoor classroom” gazebo at Moriah Harbour Cay National Park as well as sponsoring signage within the park. A Unique, Chill Experience

quotationreview-ratingWe always have a great time at Chat N Chill, its just fun hanging out there and is a great spot for photographs. We rented a boat from Minns to get there but the water taxis are an easy and fairly inexpensive way to get there too.

quotationreview-ratingThere are just some places that you visit and say "wow, what a cool place!" That was my experience. We had burgers for lunch which were fine, but the atmosphere was incredible. A classic Caribbean beach bar...

quotationreview-ratingWe stopped at the Chat 'N' Chill on our Stocking Island trip. I tried the conch for the first time and I really liked it. The bar was full as expected but the beach was nice and people were having a great time. Feeding the stingrays was cool and I enjoyed our stop.
